The Day.

The day I got a BIL.
The day my sis became married.
:)

Sis left house around 10.30am with their fren's (if I got his name right is Wei Jun) help to carry the stuff to his car who then fetch the bride to the hote.
BB waited for me to finish my make-up and we left shortly after carrying the rest of the things.
Checked into the room slightly after 11am.
Bride & Groom were eating some pandan cake, make-up artist started on my hairdo, BB taking photos and eating pandan cake too, the other 2 Bros were chatting.
The make-up artist spent a long time on my hair!
Btw, alot of ppl said I looked more like the bride cos i laid my dress nicely on the bed and I have a make-up artist working on my hair and also a personal photographer.
HAHA!
Anw, felt worried as time passed and my hair wasn't very complete yet.
And, it did cause sis to go to the venue abit last min. :(

Anyway, after my hair was ready, BB and me went to deco the venue 1st with Weijun and the other bro's help.
Fengling, Jenn & Matthew joined very soon too.
And, I must say all the sis and bros were really great.
Fast, efficient, focus, inhesistant, ready to discuss, have great inputs!
Sis & BIL got themselves great helpers (including me, ahem. HAHA!).
I think sometimes I get too gan chiong then didn't do things very well.
Like I regret not removing the flowers displayed by the hotel on the table for solemnization. :(
Thou I heard its not bad but I thot it might be better if I removed it and play around with the bear, pen holder and ring bowl.
But well, I hope the table setting was nice still. :)
Matthew helped with getting the digital photoframe working and displayed on top of the piano.
Dad and BB helped to setup the huge poster.
Fengling and Jenn helped me with the 2 recep tables.
Oh ya, I really love the scroll & shooters!
They look really nice on the table side by side.
And, the other table for the photo album was good too as I like it for being not too overcrowded with just the album, 2 hand stitched work by sis and some rose petals lying around.
I think fengling and jenn made the petals into some loves.

When the decos were almost ready, BB alerted me its almost 1pm which means guests are coming.
Hence, we went to the room to change swiftly and return back again after I helped mum with her make-up.
And, then we were busy with photo-taking, mingling with the guests, sorting out miscellanous stuff.
Oh yes, I helped my dad with his purple tie too.
Gave BIL's dad his tie too then luckily BIL's mum was there to help him with it.
Else I will paiseh to help him.
HAHA!
Anyway, his dad is kinda cute for his quietness.
Cos sis' make-up was delayed, she could not come down too early.
Hence, many people were asking wheres the bride.
Some asked for groom too, in case BIL is jealous.
HAHA! :p

And, when I finally saw sis I was like oh man gorgeous!
She really looked great in the tea dress.
She is so slim!
I must work harder to reduce the unnecessary fats.
HAHA!
But, I really hate the eyebrow make-up.
Come to think of it, like what sis says its over.
And also, marriage is not a one-day event only.
Most importantly, sis signed her name on the marriage cert with close family members and friends' as witnesses.
And, I know she received lots of really sincere blessings too.
These are more important.
I really feel different yesterday compared to other weddings I have attended not cos its my sis' wedding.
Cos it made me feel like everyone feels very involved in the big day.
The couple could talk and act quite freely infront of everyone there, they weren't like going through the motion.
And, I could see many present were also talking to the 2 so well.
I think sis really managed to achieve what she wants - a simple yet personal wedding with people close to them present.
Oh come to think of it, actually sy's solemnization and ah fu's banquet were kinda personal too.
I like this and not those that made me feel the couple is just going through the motion without showing they are really happy or mingling with some people around.
I hope I wont be making people think I am not happy when its my big day.
Haha!
Now im starting to feel nervous for sy and ll!

Sis & BIL were asked by the JP (Mr Chia Ti Yu) to say "wo ai ni" infront of us!
BIL said it and of cos followed with a shy smile.
Sis said "I Love You" and followed with a super shy smile.
Haha!
Oh yes, I got to chase after the JP to give him his ang bao cos he really ran out to go to the 3rd floor ballroom for another couple.
So paiseh to walk into that ballroom to give him that.
Hope I looked glam still.
After the solemnization, buffet started which I think many were waiting!
Haha.
Then the tea ceremony started.
Ah ger got "8 dian jing" cos BIL's parents & his godma each gave her 4 pieces of gold I think.
His godma is very generous I must say.
To sis & bil, treat her to some nice meals someday especially on her bday or mother's day next yr. cos I think she really loves you 2. :)
Mum presented ger with the white gold with diamonds bracelet & dad gave BIL his super or biang gold ring.
HAHA!

After the guests left, we went to ah peks' house nearby so the newly wed can pay a respect to our granny and grandfather.
It's been 16yrs and the house still looks the same.
Only thing missing was a table in the living room and the sofa changed too.
Nice to have a small reunion with ah peks.
Didn't see dua pek for 16yrs due to some reason.
I sincerely hope to see them again soon. :)
Hope they will be here to attend my wedding too which is duno hw many yrs later.
Haha.

And, the day kinda ended with us bringing some of their stuff back home for them first.
The other bros and sis also carried alot to our house.
Really nice of them.
They then went to have dinner while we stayed at home as our relatives continue the evening with mj at my house.
Haha.
But during dinner time BB and me left to have some personal time outside. :)

Busy and tiring day.
But definitely worth it.
