One of my teammate has been recommending Itacho Sushi to me since it opened in Orchard ION.
I wanted to try it on 3 occasions but I didn't due to the long queue.

Last Saturday, went there unplanned to do abit of pre-GSS shopping.
Oh yes, I cldn't wait for another 4 days before GSS start so I got myself a pair of black flats.:)
And, knowing I have been wanting to try I was forced to join in the queue.
Hehe.
The waiting time actually wasn't as long as the queue seems to be.
I think I waited for maybe 10-15mins only.
Compared to Ippudo, its quite short.
Maybe also there were people rejecting counter seats.
But, that's really the best seats!
You can look at all the chefs preparing the food and serving the food to you themselves!
They can be very friendly and chat with you too. :)
It's always so cool to sit at the counter in a Jap restuarant.
I think that's very common in Jap thou, but not here.

Really tried alot of sushi.
Salmon soy sauce, Itacho Live Prawn, Amaebi, Crab Stick, Salmon etc.
Oh and they have this mini don series.
Oh man they are so cute.
But its $4 for like maybe 3 small spoonful of rice with the food you chose.
The steamed egg with crab meat was one of the best chawanmushi I ever tried.
Didn't want to order sashimi as the prices there are more on the high side and we ordered quite a lot already.
In the end I succumbed to the tempation as the Amaebi and Salmon sushi were simply too fresh and sweet.
Hence, I ordered Salom Sashimi - 3 slices for $3.50 or so.
Its so WOH!
Basically most of what we tried were delicious.
And, we thot we ordered alot as we were so satisfied and full.
But the bill came up to $30+ only.
Will definitely return!

Oh yes, I read somewhere in the restaurant its somehow associated with the Tsukiji Market in Tokyo.
Maybe most of the fish are air-flown from there.
I am so looking forward to a Japan trip!
