Fiery Friday.

Went to work with any other working Friday's feeling.
Only different was, Jo and my eyelids actually twitched, yesterday and today.
Decided to go out for a very early lunch at 1130am.
Was in the Post Office when I received a missed call from Jo.
Call her and she didn't pick up.
Then she smsed me.
"There's fire. We're all evacuating. The smell very strong!"
That's what the sms said.
1st thot was, "Eh, Jo bluffing me."
Couldn't get her on the fone again and called Dor and realised theres really a fire!
Then got a call from A.T. which double confirmed theres really a fire.
He couldn't get the 2 Fire Wardens for Batt Rd so he called me.
Haha!
It was then I really panicked, wondering hows everyone at BR.
Stepped out of the Post Office only and smelt the fumes.
Proceeded to our meeting points for our department only to see the black smoke just above our 3rd floor.
OMG, I was really shocked to see that.
Jo and H.K. almost thot it was just another Fire Drill.
Luckily they realised there was really a fire and left!
Jo even bought her bag along.
But, she didn't help me rescue my Coach leh.
Luckily it escaped.
HAHA!
Anyway, it was then I think that, our Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and any other emergency preparation will really come into useful one day, though we usually spend little effort on them. :(
Packed lunch to our OUB office to eat.
Good to have another office nearby. :)
Then, BCP was really activated.
Thereafter, I kept thinking, "SCB jing bu qi feng chui yu da."
To certain extent la huh.
We just kept going to and fro BR and OUB. :(
And, til the time we left, our tiny fish tank is still very filled with the smell.
I was feeling abit uncomfortable then, as that little smoke left in the room sort of irritates my eyes, nose and throat.
Oh yes, I must commend the cleaners of BR!
We tried to go back to our fish tank to work sometime after the fire was put out and none of us could bear with the smoke.
However, there was, or maybe were, a cleaner trying to on the big big fan-like thingy in the dealing room to clear the smoke.
I asked him to leave with us but he stayed to fix that thingy up.
He was still sneezing or coughing away.
It was because of that, and of cos opening some of the windows, that most of the dealers and us could return to work hours later to bear with just a little bit of the smoke.

I still am not sure what had happened.
I heard people saying its 5th floor, Basement etc.
I was thinking 4th floor.
What a lousy staff I am.
Oh, I suppose I was too busy with my work.
HAHA!

A Fire says it all.
