10 Promises to My Dog.

I really love this show!
Watch it!

A very meaningful and thought provoking show, I would say.
It is about a girl who wanted a dog.
Her mother who has cancer, found a puppy for her, hoping to keep the girl accompanied for 10 years.
The mother gets the girl to make 10 promises to the dog.
Shortly after, the mother passes away.
Girl takes good care of the dog and the dog is always by her side.
But, as years pass, girl feels that the dog seems like a burden to her.
At the 10th year, dog gets weaker and leaves the girl.

Somehow, I feel this is a little bit like P.S I Love You cos of the things the mother do for the girl before she leaves her.
But, they are actually quite different.

The show really shows how people can get a pet and lose the commitment after sometime.
The 10 promises do tell us how we can be a better owner to a pet.
It also shows how people don't treasure what we have til we lose them, which is mostly the case ya? :)

The mother got the dog to "replace" her in the girl's life.
This somewhat reminds me of my ah gong.
Maybe Jia Rong is meant to "replace" him in ah ma's life. :)
