Cookies for Xmas!

The Ingredients.

The paste, for my very 1st batch of cookies.

The result after mixing for very long, manually.
Our electric mixer isn't good. :(
Thanks pa for helping me! :)

Baking in progress.

This is the best clarity I can get.
Hehe.

Yeah, The Cookies!

On the left, 1st batch.
On the right, 2nd batch.

Can't decide which tastes better or worst. Haha.

Spent approximately 7 hours on the 2 batches of cookies. What you see above is half of what I made. Sat down for almost the whole 7 hours. Back ached badly when the bakery work ended. Luckily not anymore now. Phew. Hehe.

Maybe you won't believe it, but I made the cookies with the help of my FATHER. Hehe. I don't really believe it myself too. HAHA! When my sister made hers, she did it with the help of my mother. Maybe now its my father's turn. Hehe. The greatest help he gave me was to get his muscles to work. The 1st paste, we took turns to mix the ingredients. The 2nd, basically, he did it himself. Else, I guess my hands would be trembling now. Haha.

We tried to improvise on the recipe the 2nd time round. But as you can only really try the cookies after they are really cooled down, which is like hours later, so we just went on with our gut feelings. In the end, thou the 2 batches are somehow different, we cant decide which is more yummy. For those who will be trying, I hope the cookies arent too bad for you. :) Feedbacks are welcome. Hehe.

Now the task is to find containers and bags for them. :)

After preparing the cookies, did some gift wrapping and preparing too. Quite an enjoyment. Everything is lying on the floor now. Tired. Continuing tomorrow. Gotta finish by tomorrow too. Hopefully. Hehe.

And, Calista! Thanks for the card that came all the way from Tucson!
And glad that the "Bomb" reached your apartment already. Marie and me was worrying it didn't reach you. Hehe. Let us know if you like it when you see it. Thats Jan ya? :)
